Rabbi Yonatan Goldschmidt & Rebbetzin Elisheva Goldschmidt

Born in London, England as a child he attended the King Alfreds School, followed by studies in a range of practical Nursing and Palliative Care counseling at the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery at King's College University London.

He then took to Music and philosophy and travelled extensively and worked in a variety of fields and interests before beginning his Jewish Education in London at the JLE (Jewish Learning Exchange) where he met Rabbi Akiva Tatz and became interested in the subject of Jewish spirituality.

After moving to Israel in 2007 he attended a variety of Yeshivas and Kollels including Aish HaTorah, Ohr Somayach, Shapell’s (Darche Noam), the Boston Kollel, the Kabbalistic Yeshiva of the Leshem (founded by Rabbi Zion Bracha) and Midrash Sephardi in the Old City of Jerusalem.

He and his family moved in 2016 to South Africa where they were involved with the Muizenberg synagogue and the Cape Town Bet Din and ran Jewish Educational and Shabbat programs from their home.

After returning to finish his Rabbinical Studies at Midrash Sephardi in 2018 he was placed as the Rabbi of the Paradesi Synagogue, in Kochi, India as well as a full time Mashgiach for the Star-K (Kosher certification) working to visit several hundred factories and food processing plants throughout India and the Far-East.

In 2022 he relocated with his family to become the Rabbi of the Jewish Association of the Philippines; running their Synagogue, Hevra Kadisha and Torah Educational programs as well as assisting in the Kindergarten and overseeing their Kosher kitchens.

The Rabbi also meets with individuals for private counselling & practical Halachic advice as well as seminars and private consulting.

Rebbetzin Elisheva Goldschmidt is a Torah educator, professional musician, singer and coach. She was born in South Africa where she spent her childhood training in music and performing arts.

After school she focused her full attention on music studies and became a professional performer both in South Africa and internationally focusing on opera performance and musical theatre.

When she turned her focus to orthodox Judaism, she went to Jerusalem to study at seminary where she met Rabbi Yonatan Goldschmidt.

As Rebbetzin performs in concerts for women, hosts Rosh Chodesh events for women, Bat Mitzvah parties, Challah baking events and many more. Rebbetzin Goldschmidt teaches on a wide array of Torah subjects including Taharat mishpacha, Tanach, mysticism, Torah subjects related to women and tries to bring Torah in a practical yet captivating way.

She teaches at Pninei Ohr Seminary in Jerusalem in their English program.. She is served as the Rebbetzin and Balanit of the only Mikveh in southern India, ncluded in her various duties at the Paradesi Synagogue, Kochi.

She is currently the Rabbanit of the Jewish Association of the Philippines. Her duties including women’s learning programs, childrens’ torah programs, supervising the kindergarden, supervising two industrial kosher kitchens and giving education and counsel to anybody who needs. Her greatest joy is to see people grow in Torah and discovering that Judaism is a beautiful kaleidoscope.
